How I got rid of BED BUGS

In february of 2013 my girlfriend at the time and I moved from Birmingham Alabama to Seattle Washington in a 1977 GMC motorhome. We found that two people cant live in that thing the hard way and took the first apartment we found. It was a disgusting place run by a disgusting man. When we looked at the place it was gross but we didnt see any bugs. The first night we stayed there we woke up to many little bed bugs crawling all over us! Then we noticed the roaches! Little german roaches were everywhere, especially the bathroom. As we started looking for a new place I decided to fight the problem with science! I went on wikipedia and read this

so I read the researched the paper Linked here

You can read the whole thing if you want but this is the most important part! The stuff works! so I thought to myself, where can I get this stuff relatively easy? Well I found a product on amazon, its called Mycotrol O. Its ment for farming and comes in a 1 pint bottle. It is expensive at $74.95 but if you are as desperate as we were you will buy it too!

I didnt know how exactly to go about applying the stuff so I consulted with Dr Alexis M. Barbarin of the University of Pennsylvania. She mentioned that certain oils were mixed with the spores and sprayed and left overnight before exposure. I could not get my hands on the oils so I just tried infecting a couple of the bugs with the stuff I bought. I soaked a cotton ball in the Mycotrol and put it into a glass jar with a top. I then caught as many bed bugs as I could and put them into the jar. I had about 15-20 in there all crawling around the soaked ball. I waited around 8 hours and then...I let them free! Thats right! I put them on the carpet around the bed and they just crawled away. The infected bugs would make their way back to the nest and infect the other ones.

And it worked! Around 2 -3 weeks into releasing them we had no more bed bugs! Never bitten again, never even found the dead bodies as I believe they were in between the carpet and the walls (of that old nasty apartment).
Please understand that the product is not ment for indoor use and you are suppoused to wear a respirator when you spray it, but I did not spray it and I was desperate. I believe my method used the least amount of fungus that was needed. We continued living in the apartment for another 6 months and all was well. I am still alive!

How I got rid of GERMAN ROACHES

In this same apartment we had german roaches. These tiny little brown roaches were all over the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. We kept our food, utensils, and anything else that would go in our mouths wrapped in plastic or a ziploc bag. It was a nightmare. So using the same approach as the bed bugs I decided on science!

After doing some research I found this article

A quick internet search resulted in me finding Invict Gold Cockroach German Roach Control Gel Bait

It was the only stuff that contained imidacloprid and it worked!! Within 2 weeks the only roaches we found were dead or dying. Be sure to follow the directions for best results. We put the stuff everywhere, following the directions, and we could not be happier.

The stuff was so good that the building manager ended up ordering the same stuff and using it throughout the building.

Well thats the end of the story, I hope it helps you. Dealing with bed bugs and roaches suck, but with the help of science and unconventional methods will keep you sane!
